Marvel Legends – Hasbro Elektra (SP//DR BAF Wave) vs Toybiz Elektra (Series 4) vs Hasbro Elektra (2-pack)

The Figures

Here we have 3 versions of Elektra in her main red-themed costumed. Toybiz Elektra came out in 2003, Hasbro Elektra from 2-pack with Ronin came out in 2008 and finally, the most recent Hasbro Elektra came from the SP//DR BAF Wave in 2018.

You can see the progression in the Elektra figure; it gets better and better. All of them come with accessories. Toybiz Elektra even comes with a mini diorama, but I don’t have it.

Hasbro SP//DR Elektra does not come with the swords; I mistook it for Elektra’s when I took the picture, and realized it’s actually Lady Deadpool’s katana. It’s a bit trouble to retake the picture again after keeping all the figures.

All there of them has the same costume design, only the red parts at the arms and thighs are slightly different from each other.

The red cloth (I dunno what to call it) varies in length, but I thought Hasbro’s SP//DR Elektra looks good sporting a longer one, as opposed to Toybiz and 2-pack Elektra which are shorter.

Differences

Among the three, Toybiz Elektra is the tallest, and 2-pack Elektra is the smallest built and shortest. 2-pack Elektra actually looks kinda small and out of scale if compared to the recent Marvel Legends.

You can see from the side view that their hair restricts their head movement. Toybiz Elektra has the best head articulation among the three (able to look up, down, left, right with ease compared to the other two).

Toybiz Elektra (as with most female Toybiz Marvel characters) has plenty of joints, but to me it makes the figure kinda flimsy. Hasbro SP//DR BAF Wave Elektra is the best to me; sturdy and quite well-articulated (though I wish the recent Hasbro female character have swivel bicep joints).

Now, the head sculpt. Hasbro SP//DR Elektra wins. Nuff’ said.

Even Hasbro SP//DR Elektra’s hair looks good, although it restricts movement of the head. Those curled eyelashes on Toybiz Elektra looks like she’s gonna go on a date or something. And 2-pack Elektra, nahh. Even the bandana-less head doesn’t look great.

Weapons! All three of them comes with her pair of sai (those dagger like thingy). Unfortunately Hasbro SP//DR Elektra comes with only that.

Toybiz Elektra comes with a pair of sai and a pair of katanas with a holder for all of them.

2-pack Elektra comes with a pair of oversized sai and short kid-size katana. Lol.

TL;DR

Marvel Legends - Hasbro Elektra (SP//DR BAF Wave) vs Toybiz Elektra (Series 4) vs Hasbro Elektra (2-pack)

Hasbro SP//DR BAF Wave Elektra:

+ Good body mold (same as the other recent Hasbro Marvel Legends Female characters)

+ Best head sculpt among the three

– Only comes with a pair of sai

Toybiz Elektra (Series 4):

+ Comes with a pair of sai, a pair of katanas and a holder to hold all the weapons

– Figure tends to become flimsy (as per most Toybiz Marvel Legends female character)

Hasbro 2-pack Elektra:

– Small body mold, visibly smaller and does not scale well with recent Marvel Legends

– Oversized sai, short katana

– Both headsculpt not great

– Hair greatly restricts movement of the head

My Verdict

Marvel Legends - Hasbro Elektra (SP//DR BAF Wave) vs Toybiz Elektra (Series 4) vs Hasbro Elektra (2-pack)

Easy win choice for me; Hasbro SP//DR BAF Wave Elektra! Even though she comes with only a pair of sai, her headsculpt is great and the new Hasbro female body mold is great (not the best, but still great in my opinion).

2-pack Elektra is out of the picture (I’ve been trying to sell her to no avail, nobody seems to want her). I use Toybiz Elektra’s weapons for my Hasbro SP//DR Elektra.
